Ahuntsic-Cartierville will ask Aéroports de Montréal to modify the path
During the June 2 Ahuntsic-Cartierville general council meeting, the members of the council adopted a recommendation made by Mayor Marie-Andrée Beaudoin which will allow to “officially ask Aéroports de Montréal to modify the path chosen on September 28 2006 that affects the quality of life of the citizens of Ahuntsic-Cartierville living underneath the aerial corridor.”
The mayor said that this will help strengthen her process in which she’s trying to work out a deal with federal authorities concerning night flights above the Saraguay area.
Circulation plan
St. Sulpice district Councillor Jocelyn Ann Campbell reminded the borough residents that they’re invited to give their opinions and suggestions during the public presentation of the borough’s circulation plan. It will be held at 7 p.m. on June 12 in the council room located on the sixth floor of the borough’s city hall at 555 Chabanel West.
Two other meetings are scheduled to be held prior to the public consultation for the residents of the St. Sulpice district. The first one concerns the citizens living near André-Gasset Street and the other for the ones who stay close to Henri-Julien Park. Eveyrbody should receive their invitation soon, assured Mrs Campbell.
Democratif reform process
Sault-au-Récollet district Councillor and president of the democratic reform process consultation Jean-François St-Onge mentioned that a total of five essays were handed in following the public consultations. The preliminary report will be presented at 7 p.m. on June 18 in the council room. The final decision date was push back to September in order to allow another public consultation meeting which has still no set date.
