Succes at Sports Festival

With 1,750 young athletes signed up, the 2007 Ahuntsic-Cartierville Sports Festival, which was held from Dec. 7 to 9, has beaten last year’s registration numbers of 1,100. For the first time this year, all festival participants who did place first or second will receive a bronze medal. “It’s very encouraging to see so many kids participating, especially at a time when kids tend to be more sedentary,” said the borough’s communication agent Marie-Élaine Ladouceur. More details about the Sports Festival competitions will be available once organizers compile the results. (C.L.)
